Man caught in the act. Defiling a minor

A 25-year-old man was rescued by
the police from the hands of an irate
mob that to lynch him after he was
caught defiling a 14-year-old girl at
Wich Lum Beach in Bondo last
evening.
The suspect, identified as Omondi
Nyakondi, was cornered by members
of the public who allegedly found him
defiling her inside his bar.
According to Bondo Deputy County
Commissioner Samson Akatch,
Omondi is said to have lured the minor
into the bar with sweets. According to
reports, Omondi has been abusing the
minor for the past 6 months.
Akatch said that he was acting from a
tip off the members of the public when
he stormed the bar and caught the
suspect red handed. They pounced on
the suspect with kicks and blows, and
he pleaded for forgiveness.
Akatch said the girl has been taken to
Bondo Sub County Hospital for medical
tests and treatment. He said that the
suspect will be arraigned in court for
defilement charges as soon as they
complete investigations into the
matter.
