Traffic officers rescued their
three counterparts from the nab of
Ethics and Anti-Corruption
Commission (EACC) officers in a
dramatic unfoldment in Athi River
along Mombasa Road.
The three had been arrested by
anti-graft officers for taking bribes
summing up to Sh28,000 from
vehicles on Thursday.
The liberators appeared in three
vehicles and rescued them before
driving off in a whim.
The officials were processing the
three officers when the incident
occured leaving them with only
their mobile phones and the cash
nabbed.
Yassin Amaro, EACC spokesman
reported the incident at the Athi
River Police Station and urged
them to take action urgently.
A meeting was later chaired by CID
Joseph Mumira with an aim to
solve the matter.
This comes after EACC officials
managed to sucessfully arrest six
traffic police near Railways
