TRIPLE-E CRE AFTER A SHOOT
If you ask any Kenyatta univerity student what is Triple E theatre productions they would fast laugh before explaining anything. this group has a record of breaking the ribs of its fans a skill they have pefected over the years. the group is based in the capital city of Nairobi. It was found in Kenyatta University by then Kenyatta University students Martin Makosa, Franklin Nyambane who assembled a comitee of eminent person with the urge to explore all angles of theatre. With them the came up with the name Triple E abbreviates Entertaining, Energizing and Educating spheres that have guided the group so far. Under them in 2008 Bonface Lukunza was introduced Alice Nyariki, Ndanu, Doreen and many others and they planned for a first show which was a fusion of play and comedies. The same year Derrick Waswa was introduced as a member. Under the management of Martin Makosa as Chair and Franklin Nyambame as sec gen the group grew to do performances both in and out of the university. It was not a walk in the park for the impact of the group had not yet attained its ultimatum. In Nov 2009 the greatest hit narrative Adhiambo C that was performed by Bonface Lukunza and Derrick Waswa in the annual Culture week led the group into ultimate recognition. This was in combination of the grand career week performances of Martin Makosa and Franklin Nyambane during the career week and graduation ceremony that left the whole campus demanding for more and more from Triple E.
With this recognition triple E staged plays and comedies in Harambee Hall, among them Half Spoon full of Love, Hellish Helluva, She used my lips, its not only in k.u, panda mbegu and many more.
The groups greatest achievement came in after the introduction of witted actors with experience like LAMECK Angola, Sadikini Batso, Bettyrose, Brian Wamalwa, Karis the Entertainer, Lavinia Kyalo, Masai, Pez, Fiona Micheni, Juma Chai, Dan Wafula, Philip Ngunjiri, Robinson Osoro, Pillet Cherotich, Spoo WA Spoo, Mugo Wa Mathiokore, Nelson , Denno Yule boy, Neema, Ayieko, Chei, Martha, and many others.
With the success of the group the management is proud to not only deliver fully baked comedians like Mc. Fungututi LOL K24, Karis the entertainer- Churchill show, Bonface Lukunza LOL k24 , Deno Yule Boy, Nella, Masai, Pez, Chai- All star comedy, Ayieko etc. It is also proud of producing technical film producers like Martin Makosa who is incharge of several upcoming projects, LAMECK Angila- Producer, Dan wafula- director of photography and editor, Philip Ngunjiri DOP, Robinson Osoro actor writer director, amongst them other renown actors like Dan Wafula acting Babji in Machachari Citizen, Derrick Waswa acting Captain in Gavana KTN, Chei acting Mwangaza K24, Brian Wanyama lies that bind. It is also proud of delivering prominent event organizers like LAMECK Angola in charge of All star campus comedy tour, Bonface Lukunza in charge of Kenyatta University Culture week planning committee.
